Rotherham people are taking advantage of the Government’s national drive to improve the UK’s numeracy and literacy skills by achieving nationally recognised qualifications. The local programme, which is run by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council’s Skills for Life Team, is delivering training and testing across Rotherham in a range of settings, including CENT.
CENT is proving to be a popular venue, as Barrie Whitaker, Skills for Life Development Worker and Tutor explains, "CENT is fast becoming a valued resource for the delivery of the national end tests in Numeracy and Literacy within the Rotherham area. The centre is modern and has up to date, fast and reliable ICT facilities. There is an informal breakout area that provides refreshments and allows candidates to "chill" a little during what is often a stressful time for them. The staff at CENT are friendly, efficient and flexible. They provide an excellent service and always strive to meet our ever changing requirements".
Candidates will be taking advantage of this opportunity at CENT until the end of the year.
