Local businesses impressed by CENT’s first networking event
With representatives from over twenty local organisations, CENT’s first networking evening started on a high note with Tim O’Connell of Rotherham Investment and Development Office (RiDo) highlighting a number of exciting developments across Rotherham and particularly along the Sheffield Road corridor where CENT is located.
The enthusiastic atmosphere continued as Rotherham Chamber and Business Link explained about their activities for local businesses, delegates then had the opportunity to get involved in a fun networking session, before Andy Pickles from Investors in Education inspired companies to get involved in working with education to help create a motivated and skilled future workforce for Rotherham.
Local business woman, Jacqueline Eginton of Voice Telemarketing said, “This has been a fantastic event for me and I am extremely impressed with what I have seen and heard tonight. Not only have I discovered more about the opportunities in Rotherham for growing businesses like mine but I have made a number of contacts this evening who will hopefully turn into new clients for me.”
As Clare Collingworth, Centre Manager at CENT, explained, “Having benefited from funding and Rotherham’s regeneration plans ourselves, we wanted to bring the local business community to CENT so they could discover more about Rotherham’s vibrant and growing business economy and experience CENT’s high quality ICT training and meeting facilities first hand. We are delighted with the feedback from our delegates and hope to run another event like this next year.”
