Local students complete iPro qualification at CENT

Local students Fiona Ditcher, 14 and Beth Davis, 15 (pictured) of Aston Comprehensive have completed a 10-week work placement at CENT to achieve the nationally recognised iPro qualification on ICT Systems Support.

The enthusiastic students have produced a comprehensive report focusing on different aspects of IT in the workplace to gain this qualification, which is aimed at IT practitioners rather than students.

“The whole experience been brilliant,” said Beth Davis. “We have seen IT being used in lots of different ways at CENT from adults and school students of all ages doing IT training, overseas clients video conferencing, to how technicians look after networks and PCs.”

Spending time at CENT with a clear plan of work to complete has made the students time at CENT very productive. “I am delighted CENT has been able to demonstrate how IT is used in the workplace and given Beth and Fiona the real life experience they need to fulfil the requirements of the iPro qualification,” said Clare Collingworth, CENT’s Centre Manager.
