Rotherham primary teachers have been taking part in an extensive training programme at CENT since the beginning of 2007. School Effectiveness Service consultants from Rotherham’s local authority have been leading the programme which aims to support primary teachers to implement the renewal of the Primary National Strategy Framework for Literacy and Mathematics. 

Helen Simpson, Senior Teaching and Learning Consultant, who has been leading the literacy programme said: “We chose CENT because of its combination of large IT suites and conference facilities. We have been impressed with how well we have been looked after by the team at CENT.”

This training programme continues until the end of July but Helen hopes to hire CENT’s facilities again in the near future.
